The story of Abby Choi's murder contains details that may be disturbing to some readers. Abby Choi, a 28-year-old Hong Kong social influencer, was first reported missing on Tuesday last week, but only a few hours later.  When the details of his gruesome murder began to emerge, it shook Hong Kong.
Her ex-husband and in-laws have now been arrested for her murder.
The accused include her ex-husband Alex Kwong, her husband's brother Anthony and her husband's father (father-in-law) Kwong Cao.
Kwong's 63-year-old mother has been charged with obstruction of justice.  All these persons had also filed bail applications which have been rejected by the court.

What happened?

Abby Choi was last seen in the city of Cologne on Tuesday last week.
Abby was supposed to pick up her daughter from school on February 21, but she did not arrive, leading to rumors of her abduction and then a missing police report.
After that, the police started searching for them and while searching for them, they reached Ling May village, about 27 km from the city.

Police also recovered a meat slicing machine and an electric saw from the crime scene.
The police claimed that two bowls of 'stew' (a dish made of meat and vegetables) containing human tissues were found in the house.

Hong Kong police told the media that they believe there were a number of financial disputes between Abby and her former in-laws, including a dispute over "huge sums of money".

Police told AFP news agency: "Someone was not satisfied with the victim handling her own finances and that may have led to the murder."
Abby's husband, Alex Kwang, was arrested Saturday while trying to leave the city by speedboat, while her parents and older brother were detained a day earlier, police said.  A fifth suspect was also arrested who was linked to Choi's father-in-law. Abby had been married twice and had four children.  At the age of 18, she married Alex Kwong, with whom she had two children.  But after some time they got divorced and then they had two children with Chris Timm.  She was in a relationship with Chris Tim since 2016.
